Two brothers from Beruwala
Serendib is the name Arab and Persian traders gave Sri Lanka centuries ago, and the root of the word serendipity. Those traders sailed into Beruwala, and the town has dealt in gems ever since.
Aasir Thajir and Ashik Thajir grew up in that trade. They buy directly in Sri Lanka, judge every stone by eye, and send only what they would keep themselves to clients in Europe.

What does unheated mean, and why does it matter?
Most sapphires on the market are heated to improve colour. An unheated stone has the colour it formed with in the earth. They are rarer, hold their value better and are what serious collectors ask for. Every unheated stone we list comes with a laboratory report confirming it.
Which laboratory reports do your stones come with?
Our stones are tested by independent laboratories such as GRS, GIA and Sri Lanka's National Gem and Jewellery Authority. The report for each stone is shown on its page, and we are happy to send the original before you buy.
Can I see a stone on video before buying?
Yes. Many stones have a 360° view on their page, and we can record a video of any stone in daylight on request over WhatsApp.
Do you ship to Europe?
We ship fully insured to the UK and across Europe with tracked courier services. We will confirm the cost and delivery time for your country before you pay.
How do I buy a stone?
